Pokémon GO Wild Area 2024: Fukuoka

Get ready, Trainers! A brand new Pokémon GO event is coming to Maizuru Park in Fukuoka, Japan, on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, 2024. You’ll explore the Wild Area for the first time, starting your adventure in the park and then heading out for a city-wide hunt.


When and Where:

Saturday, November 16, 2024 and Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Maizuru Park, Fukuoka, Japan

On both days the following schedule will be in place:

  • Morning Park Experience: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm 
  • Afternoon Park Experience: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm 
  • City Experience: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 

Bonuses:

Ticket holding trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards during event hours between 8am and 5pm on their ticket day, and during their City Experience:

  • Lure Modules activated will last for two hours
  • Surprise encounters in GO Snapshot—when taking snapshots during the event, you never know who might show up!
  • Certain Pokémon evolved during the event will know a featured attack
  • Increased chance of encountering a shiny Pokemon in the wild and on Incense
  • Up to 9x free raid passes from spinning photo discs at gyms
  • Level up your Elite Collector medal by completing habitat-themed Collection Challenges!
  • Half hatch distance for eggs incubated during the event
  • Special event themed 10km eggs
  • 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
  • The daily Max Particle limit will increase to 8000 Max Particles

Increased Max Particles from Power Spots and explorationTicket holding trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 12am and 11:59pm on their ticket day, and during their City Experience:

  • Up to six special trades can be made per day
  • Reduced Stardust cost for trades

Toxtricity, Dynamax Toxtricity and Gigantamax Toxtricity Debut!

The Punk Pokémon, Toxtricity, will debut during the Wild Area event! Toxtricity, an Electric and Poison type Pokémon, was first discovered in the Galar region, and has two different forms, the Amped Form, and the Low Key Form.

Toxtricity and Dynamax Toxtricity will make their global debut during the Wild Area event. If you are lucky, you may even encounter a shiny one!


Toxel Debut.

Toxel, the Baby Pokémon, will debut during the Wild Area event. Toxel is Toxtricity’s pre-evolution and is an Electric and Poison type.

Toxel will be hatching from 10 km Eggs during this event! Trainers may even hatch a Shiny Toxel, if they are lucky.


Mighty Pokémon Debut.

Wild Area introduces a new class of especially strong Pokémon, called Mighty Pokémon! Mighty Pokémon are rare and unusually powerful, and they are quite large in size. Here are their unique characteristics:

  • More likely to have higher Attack, Defense and HP stats
  • More likely to be XL or XXL Pokémon
  • More difficult to capture

If you are lucky, you may even encounter Shiny Mighty Pokémon! Using Safari Balls will greatly improve your chances of successfully catching these Pokémon.


Safari Ball Debut.

The Wild Area event also introduces the brand new Safari Ball in Pokémon GO! Safari Balls are highly effective at catching wild Pokémon, and it is advisable to use one when trying to catch a Mighty Pokémon.

All unused Safari Balls will disappear from your item bag at 5pm JST on each day of the event, so be sure to use them before that!


Pikachu Pop Star and Pikachu Rock Star take the stage!

For the first time since 2021, these stylish Pikachu will be returning to Pokémon GO! Ticket holders will encounter them by completing Special Research and Collection Challenges during GO Wild Area: Fukuoka.

Trainers may even encounter Shiny Pikachu Pop Star and Pikachu Rock Star for the very first time in Pokémon GO, if they’re lucky!


Snorlax is ready to rock ’n’ roll!

Snorlax wearing a studded jacket will debut during Pokémon GO Wild Area: Fukuoka! Trainers may even encounter Shiny Snorlax wearing a studded jacket, if they’re lucky!


Habitats.

For all trainers, two unique habitats will rotate hourly during the event. Plus Mighty Pokémon can appear at any time! These Pokémon will appear in both Maizuru Park, and during your City Experience.

Raids.

The following Pokémon will appear in raids throughout the city of Fukuoka during this event!

Appearing in 4-Star Raids

Note: Only Trainers with an active event ticket or Citywide Gameplay add-on will be able to encounter Shiny Toxtricity. Only Pokémon caught from Max Battle encounters, as well as their Evolutions, can be Dynamaxed during Max Battles.


Appearing in 5-Star Raids.

Note: Only Trainers with an active event ticket or Citywide Gameplay add-on will be able to encounter Origin Forme Dialga that know Roar of Time, and Origin Forme Palkia that know Spacial Rend.


Max Battles.

Only Trainers with an active event ticket or Citywide Gameplay add-on will be able to encounter Shiny Toxtricity. Only Pokémon caught from Max Battle encounters, as well as their Evolutions, can be Dynamaxed during Max Battles.


Featured Attacks.

Certain Pokémon encountered or evolved during the event will know a featured attack!


Adventure Effects.

Spacial Rend

Trainers who defeat and encounter Origin Forme Palkia in a raid battle will have a chance to catch one that knows the Charged Attack Spacial Rend.

Trainers will be able to activate the Adventure Effect caused by Spacial Rend by using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy.

  • It will cause a disruption in space, and for 10 minutes you will be able to encounter wild Pokémon at an increased distance.
  • You can extend the timer for Spacial Rend’s Adventure Effect in increments of 10 minutes by using more Stardust and Palkia Candy. The timer can be extended up to two hours each time each time you tap use, and you can tap use again to add additional time, for up to 24 hours in total.
  • Once Spacial Rend ends the timer will resume the encounter radius will return to normal.
  • Spacial Rend cannot be used in conjunction with any other Adventure Effects.

At this time, Spacial Rend will not be obtainable via any TM.


Roar of Time.

Trainers who defeat and encounter Origin Forme Dialga in a raid battle will have a chance to catch one that knows the Charged Attack Roar of Time!

Trainers will be able to activate the Adventure Effect caused by Roar of Time by using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy:

  • It will cause a disruption in time, and pause the timers of Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces for 6 minutes.
  • You can extend the timer for Roar of Time’s Adventure Effect in increments of 6 minutes by using more Stardust and Dialga Candy. The timer can be extended up to two hours each time each time you tap use, and you can tap use again to add additional time, for up to 24 hours in total.
  • Once Roar of Time ends the timer will resume the count down on your Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces.
  • Roar of Time cannot be used in conjunction with any other Adventure Effects.

At this time, Roar of Time will not be obtainable via any TM.
